Metalnewsnet 7 May : Canadian miner Yamana Gold on Wednesday said it raised its quarterly dividend by 50 percent. The company raised its dividend to 1.5 cents from 1 cent, payable July 14, to shareholders of record June 30.
On Monday, Yamana Gold had said its first-quarter revenue jumped 62 percent on higher gold prices and rising production, but profit eased due to a huge foreign exchange gain in the year-before period.
Shares of the company, which has assets in Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico and Honduras, closed at C$10.78 Tuesday on the Toronto Stock Exchange. (from Reuters) |
