Metalnewsnet 2 Jul : Two galvanized aluminum projects have started operation in China's northwest, the China Securities Journal reported Thursday, citing sources familiar with the situation. One of the projects, located in the Xinjiang Autonomous Region, has an annual capacity of 400,000 metric tons and is owned by Xinfa Group. The other, in the Ningxia Autonomous Region, has an annual capacity of 370,000 tons and is owned by Hangzhou Jinjiang Group, the report said. But whether the two projects will reach full capacity by the end of this year depends on the direction of aluminum prices. However, an estimated 300,000 tons of galvanized aluminum capacity should be brought online, according to the report. (from Dow Jones) |
