Phase 1 GGBFS production line of Xinjiang Baoxin Shengyuan Building Material Company was formally put into production recently. The project is the significant achievement of the cooperation between Bayi Steel and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps Enterprise. It is also the important measurement of making use of industrial waste, carrying out energy conservation, developing circular economy and building up a green iron and steel corporation.

GGBFS is the new product of energy conservation and environmental protection which is strongly advocated and promoted to be used by the nation. The main raw material comes from the water slag formed during BF production. Baoxin Shengyuan BFFGS Project co invested by Bayi Steel, Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps 12th Farmer Division and Baiyi Steel Jiayu Comapny amounts to 98.6 million in total investment.

The project is designed and constructed by Baosteel Engineering. It broke ground on April 20th last year. The designed production capacity of GGBFS of phase 1 amounts to annually 600 thousand tons and the comprehensive production capacity of annually 1.8 million tons shall be formed finally.

Me Zhao Xia the Vice General Manager of Baopsteel Group , Chairman of the Board and Secretary of Party Committee of Bayi Steel, indicated in the speech that Bayi Steel had been committed to the comprehensive treatment, development and utilization of industrial waste recently. The on production of Baoxin Shengyuan GGBFS Phase 1 enable to achieve total recycle and zero emission of the waste gas waste slag and waste water formed during the BF production of Bayi Steel.

Bayi Steel will as always continue to carry forward of application of the new technology and new achievement of promoting energy conservation and pollution reduction, intensify the efforts of re utilization of energy and build up Bayi Steel into a green iron and steel corporation of resource conservation, environmental friendliness and sustainable development.
