It is reported that after one year of tests and trial use, the DC53 S high grade cold work mould steel produced by Dalian based Chinese steelmaker Northeast Special Steel has entered the Taiwanese market, with orders already received from Taiwanese companies.

The product in question features a high degree of hardness and high wear resistance and good ductility and is widely used in industries such as hardware and home appliances.

In China, DC53-S accounts for over a 90% share of the market in question and has been used as a substitute for imports.
