It is reported that Baosteel which is regarded as the most competitive steelmaker in China revealed its development planning outline for 2010 to 2015 last Friday declaring that it will lead a path featuring its own characteristics during this period with the purpose of building it into an outstanding steel group in the world.

The steelmaker said in its plan that it will, based on the concept of scientific development, push forward restructuring, promote transformation of growth pattern and lead steel industry development during its second time of making undertaking.

The steelmaker wishes to become the green industry driver, pacemaker in steel technologies and hope to develop along with its staff together.

From five aspects it aims to elevate its competitive edge ie.
1. Technology
2. Service
3. Digitization
4. Environment
5. Integration between industry and finance.

In the next 6 years, Baosteel will continue to focus on steel industry as the core while extending other six businesses including resource developing, steel processing, financing, product service etc. It aims to have a crude steel capacity of 50 million tonnes by 2012 and 66 million tonnes or above by 2015. The goal for sales income is set at CNY 440 billion.
