On March 18th, Donghe District Publicity Department, Baotou city revealed that Baotou city will take greater efforts to build China's largest medium and high-voltage formed foil production base. As of date, 62 enterprises have entered Baotou Aluminum Industrial Park, and 103 formed foil production lines have been constructed, and this park has become China's largest medium and high-voltage formed foil production base.

Sources report that Baotou Aluminum Industrial Park will actively promote the construction of Baotou Aluminum Group's own power plant, and promote the construction of 30 kt/yr light foil product and Fucheng Aluminum Company's aluminum wheel project, etc. in 2010.
