Metalnewsnet 29 Mar: The value-added output of China's non-ferrous metal industry rose 26.5% year on year in the first two months of this year, according to statistics released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The growth was 2.6 percentage points faster than in December. The combined output of the ten non-ferrous metals was 4.78 million tons during the period, up 39.4% year on year. The output of electrolytic aluminium surged 45.6% year on year to 2.57 million tons in the period from January to February and that of electrolytic copper was 700,000 tons, up 16.2% year on year.
