The U.S. DLA totally sold 10,470 tons of chromium iron in January, including 9500 tons of high carbon chromium and 970 tons of low-carbon ferrochrome, for total sales of 1440000 U.S. dollars. Their buyers, including: CCMA, GfE-MIR, NewportMetals, Medima, Traxys, Veritas, Hickman, Williams and DCMDECOmetal. The end of December last year, DLA only has 20,747 tons of high carbon ferrochrome ready to sell, in fact, to February 1 this year, leaving only 11,247 tones of ferrochrome for sale.
